Dr. Newell Walther was born and raised in Anchorage as the youngest of 8 children. He graduated from Brigham Young University and holds degrees from both Brigham Young and Northwestern University. After graduating dental school, Dr. Walther and his wife, Jennifer, moved to Bethel, Alaska where he worked for the Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation, providing dental care in rural Alaska. The Walther’s moved to the MatSu Valley in 2000 and have raised 5 children here. Their family has recently grown again when they became foster parents. Dr. Walther loves to meet new people and serve in his community. The Walther family spends their free time hiking, biking, skiing, flying, and exploring the beautiful state of Alaska.

Walther Dental is by far the best dental facility I have ever been to with both care and staff, and it's nice to see that they all seem to be close knit and that they like to keep things light and poke fun at each other every now and again. It helps keep the environment and atmosphere of it all almost feel homey and family like. I would definitely recommend them to anyone whether they have more severe problems or if they are looking for a dentist to have normal checkups and cleanings with, they are truly phenomenal."
